Came to celebrate a special double date. We loved everything we ate. The dishes were not only beautifully put together but delicious and well balanced. There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. We ordered the catch of the day, beef, and pappardelle for entrees. For appetizers we got the winter salad, gnocchi, scallops, and deviled eggs. For dessert we ordered one of each of the desserts. Not too sweet and delicious. The cocktails were also solid. Truly an all around great dinning experience. The ambiance is nice but not pretentious. The servers were kind and the food was paced out well. Would definitely return here!
We are big fans of The House of William and Merry. Tucked away in a house in Hockessin, the restaurant is an upscale establishment that offers indoor bar, and porch seating. The food is excellent and it's priced accordingly. Everything we have ever had has been fresh and delicious. The service has always been excellent as well. If you are looking for a nice date night or special occasion this is an excellent option.
Greeted ASAP. Server was A+. Food was phenomenal. We were sat upstairs in a center table surround by other tables that were against the wall. Felt like we were on an island being watched lol. Other than that, A++. We'll be back.
We were visiting the town and searched Google Maps to a restaurant that was "open" had "dinner" and "wine" and was "romantic".
We found this gem 💎. The waiter was very familiar not only with the food, but also with the owners and history of the the restaurant. Bill & Merry have created an amazing experience for your palate. Every dish is unique and the flavors are stunning.
By far one of the best restaurants I have ever been to in my life. I would come here multiple times a week if I could. It's a MUST TRY.
Had a fantastic time here celebrating our anniversary. Our waitress was highly knowledgeable of the entire menu and helped us pick great dishes. Fish was cooked to perfection, moist and juicy. Everything plated like art and so glad we didn’t skip out on dessert!
The House of William & Mary has a great kitchen. I would call it one of the best in Wilmington certainly. The food is creative, fresh and well prepared.
The problem is the money grab.
I thought the restaurant was relatively small. Instead it looks like they’ve got over 200 stuffed into the place on at least two floors.
It’s more like a cafeteria inside than a restaurant. The chef can cook so he’s decided to pack ‘em in for the big feed! It’s horrible cause you’re staring directly at the guests at nearby tables. And the poor servers who must be up and down the stairs 50 pr so times each hour.
Shame on the owners for their greed.
What a disappointment-lipstick on a pig.
Took my mom for a belated birthday dinner. Overall great. She had the duck and I had the deckle steak. Both fantastic. The gnocchi and scallop appetizers were great too.
